SurveyShack is a registered Data Controller under the Data Protection Act 1998 and as such are bound to meeting it’s obligations under the Act. SurveyShack are fully committed to following (and often exceed) best practices in the areas of visitor privacy, security and the accessibility of the web pages our technology produces.

PRIVACY

We will never sell, share or make available, any information from any of our customers, respondents or site visitors at any time.

INFORMATION GATHERING

No information gathered by our customers through their surveys will be accessible by anyone other than the customer. Occasionally customers may request assistance from SurveyShack staff in retrieving data on their behalf. All information gathered by customers is regarded as their own, and is never made available to any party unless expressly requested in writing by the customer. All confidential information gathered is stored in a secure environment. SurveyShack understands the seriousness of privacy concerns on the internet and strives to collect only as much data as is required to make your experience as efficient as possible.

SURVEYSHACK CONTACT

SurveyShack reserves the right to contact any of it's customers at any time with regards to their account status or any other matter that affects their account, or the service that SurveyShack provides.

STATISTICAL ANALYSIS

SurveyShack reserves the right to perform statistical analyses which we use to gauge user behaviour, site navigation, interest and characteristics. This information is not collected in conjunction with any customer account, but from various areas of the site as a whole, and will in no way reflect any characteristics of any individual customer.

IP ADDRESSES

SurveyShack collects and makes use of IP addresses for certain record keeping functions. No connection is made between visitors and their computer's IP address.

COOKIES

"Cookies" are small text files a website can use to recognize repeat users. SurveyShack uses cookies to recognise visitors and Users, and more quickly provide personalised content or to grant easier access to the website. With cookies enabled, Users and visitors will not need to repeatedly fill in password or contact information. Any information gathered in cookies will only be used to recognise returning visitors and Users, in order to provide an efficient and improved service.

OPTING OUT

All visitors and customers may opt out of any and all communications from SurveyShack. To opt out of any communications, log-in to your account and set the required mailing parameters in your account information.

EFFECTIVE DATE

This privacy policy is effective from 1 September 2005. SurveyShack reserves the right to amend this policy as and when is required at any time by notifying customers of these changes. Such notifications will be done by email to the given email address in the account information, and/or by posting any amendments to this section of the website.
