360 Degree Assessment and Appraisal Feedback 

360 degree appraisals are becoming the preferred means of assessing individual candidates using feedback from multiple participants. This provides a more balanced or rounded view of the candidate’s abilities and application of skills, thus the use of the term ‘360’.

Carrying out 360 degree appraisals on a candidate requires the completion of a separate copy of the questionnaire by each participant in the 360 and of course requires the collation of all the responses into one report for each candidate. To carry out 360 assessments on all middle and upper management in a large organisation requires a tremendous amount of data processing – especially if hard-copy questionnaires require data entry as well!
