Born in New Zealand, Trev emigrated to the UK in 1999 and comes from a technical, sales and marketing background in electronics and manufacturing. After working with the former owners of SurveyShack for 8 years, he joined forces with Mike Smith to take ownership of SurveyShack (SSL).
With his ‘Operations’ hat on, Trevor is a great advocate of communication and endeavors to listen to and understand client’s needs, then carefully progress projects through the development and/or delivery stages. His strong point is designing questionnaires and reports, ensuring the right insight is able to be gained from clients’ feedback projects.
When he’s not working Trevor can be found engaged in any one of his varied interests from classic cars to woodworking, outdoor adventure sports, cooking or watching his beloved All Black’s rugby team to play.
Mike Smith comes from the North of England with an extensive background in technical sales, Learning and Development and Coaching. He became interested in online business and worked with the SurveyShack team, specialising in online HR feedback solutions, particularly 360 appraisals, prior to taking ownership with Trevor De’Ath in 2013.
Mike works with clients to understand HR management issues and design employee feedback and management development solutions that are simple to use, engaging at all user levels and capable of delivering the most appropriate outputs possible. Through his diligent understanding of his customers’ issues, Mike loves to build strong, credible relationships by configuring technical solutions to complex situations that save time and effort.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys being with his family, camping, skiing, playing music and taking part in a number of outdoor sports.

Whether project managing a managed service feedback project, or testing and commissioning a development solution prior to handing over to a customer, our friendly and very experienced delivery team have a broad understanding of virtually all possible client feedback scenarios. They are able to interpret new project specifications quickly, advise on optimisations, and manage projects efficiently.
